Ludington is one of the most popular ports on the west side of the state. It offers a great fishery with catches of King salmon, Coho salmon, Brown trout, Lake trout, and Steelhead. The offshore fishing offers a chance to catch a mixed bag with a very good chance of catching steelhead. Once mid August comes the big kings move in can be caught much more frequently. There is always the possibility of catching a 20lb. king salmon which adds to the allure. Not only is it a great fishery, you also get to see picturesque sunrises and sunsets, beautiful blue water, and amazing bluffs and sand dunes.
